Archives and loops

Every blog page, category, and custom post type archive has its own Loop settings:

  • Template: Article, List, and any Drop-in loops (Timeline, Bookshelf).
  • Featured posts: the first X posts can get their own image position. The homepage features one post with a centered image.
  • Featured media position for the list, or Inherit Media Position so each post keeps its own.
  • Columns, excerpt length, bylines, and grouping by month.

Examples on this site: See it live: Notes (List loop, left images), See it live: Studio (before headline, two columns), and See it live: Numbers (inherited positions).
